After 71 weeks of being closed due to the COVID-19 public health pandemic, Mt. Calvary will relaunch its in-person services on Sunday, July 18, 2021. All efforts are being made to ensure your safety and others attending our services.

Mt. Calvary In-Person “Relaunch” Plan

  • Prior to entering the sanctuary and throughout the time in the sanctuary, all persons are expected to wear a mask or mask shield. The only exception is when persons are actively performing their respective ministry duty (ie, singing in the choir, making announcements, etc…).
  • Temperature checks will be conducted outside entrance doors by the ushers and the Armor of God Ministry members. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or more will not be allowed to enter the sanctuary. Those persons who are responsible for conducting temperature checks will wear gloves and a mask or mask shield.
  • Upon entering the building, members and visitors are expected to use the automatic hand sanitizing dispensers located in the front lobby.
  • There will be two seating options for all attendees:
      • Social Distancing (This section has been established for non-vaccinated persons or those persons who have been vaccinated and choose to social distance).
      • Non-Social Distancing (This section is for those persons who have been vaccinated and do not desire to social distance).
      • Special Notes:  Should there be a need for additional seating, those persons will be directed to the fellowship hall, which will have the same seating options (social distancing and non-social distancing) as the sanctuary.
  • In an effort to reduce the spread of the coronavirus, for now, we are replacing hugs and handshakes with nods, elbow bumps and/or hands over our hearts.
  • As attendees enter the sanctuary on 1st Sundays, they will receive a zip-lock bag that contains pre-packaged sacraments for Communion. After the holy sacraments have been used, all participants are asked to place their empty containers in the zip-lock bag and discard the bag as they exit the building.
  • We will continue to be intentional about wiping down door handles, railing, light switches, bathrooms, and countertops following each service. Additionally, the sanctuary and fellowship hall will be sanitized after each service.
  • Restrooms will be restricted to 1 person at a time. We advise that all persons who frequent the restrooms wash their hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds. When restrooms are empty, monitors will wipe down restroom stall doors, toilet handles and faucets.
  • At the end of the service, the ushers will dismiss persons from the church (one row at a time).
  • God’s tithe and our offering will be collected at the end of the service as we depart from the sanctuary.
  • All members/visitors are asked to enter and exit via the front door.
